Volleyball Recap: Nixa Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Nixa had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Willard Tigers. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-15, 25-15.

Gwen Kubik paced Nixa's offense, picking up nine kills. Kubik got some help from Peyton Creed and her 31 assists. Addy Bybee controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Despite the loss, Willard still got an impressive performance from Ava Simpson, who had 13 digs.

Nixa's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Willard, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Nixa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Lafayette on the 12th. As for Willard, they have also already played their next game, a 1-1 draw against Branson on the 13th.
