Basketball Recap: Polk County Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

Polk County won the last time they faced Sweetwater, and Benjamin Webb did his part to make sure it happened again. Polk County walked away with a 64-56 win over Sweetwater on Tuesday thanks to Webb, who posted 21 points along with six steals and five assists. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points.

Cade Brewer was another key player, putting up three points in addition to ten boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.

Despite the defeat, Sweetwater had strong showings from Bryson Burgess, who went 6-for-13 en route to 19 points and three steals, and Kolt Correll, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Dacus, who earned two points along with 12 boards and five assists.

Polk County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. Sweetwater is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-13.

Polk County has already played their next matchup, a 90-43 victory against Hiwassee Dam on the 14th. Sweetwater does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
