Softball Game Preview: Harding Presidents vs. Wright Tech Warriors

The Harding Presidents will head out to challenge the Wright Tech Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Harding and 12 for Wright Tech dating back to last season.

Harding is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Derby on Wednesday. They lost 15-1 to the Red Raiders.

Weston hit Wright Tech with a nine-run fourth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Warriors might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 16-4 to the Trojans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Harding's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Wright Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

Everything went Harding's way against Wright Tech when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Harding made off with a 16-3 victory. Will the Presidents repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
