It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Riverton can now relate to. They fell just short of the Mountain Ridge Sentinels by a score of 22-21 on Wednesday. On the bright side, the 21- run performance marked the Silverwolves' highest-scoring game to date.

Riverton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gage Zullo, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

This is the second loss in a row for Riverton and nudges their season record down to 20-11. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 25-4 American Fork (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 75.4% over those games). As for Mountain Ridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-11 record this season.

Riverton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mountain Ridge, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-1 loss against American Fork on the 21st.
