Softball Recap: Blacklick Valley Takes a Loss

Blacklick Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 25-7 to the North Star Cougars. The Vikings were not able to make up for their loss to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Kylie Williamson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. Those hits marked the first that she got this season. Another player making a difference was Emily Melius, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Blacklick Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for North Star, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blacklick Valley will head out to face off against Penns Manor at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Star, they will take on Berlin Brothersvalley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
