Volleyball Recap: Niskayuna Takes a Loss

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Niskayuna and Colonie Central had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Silver Warriors fell just short of the Wolfpack by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Silver Warriors fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Wolfpack since Tuesday.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Niskayuna sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-22, 19-25, 25-21, 21-25, 16-14.

Niskayuna's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7-1. As for Colonie Central, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Niskayuna is set to challenge their familiar foe Ballston Spa at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Colonie Central will take on rival Shaker at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
