Soccer Game Preview: San Leandro vs. Piedmont

The San Leandro Pirates will take on the Piedmont Highlanders at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. San Leandro is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

On Monday, San Leandro didn't have quite enough to beat Bishop O'Dowd and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Piedmont). They never let Encinal onto the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Friday. Bosco Lorin was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Piedmont's win bumped their record up to 2-4-3. As for San Leandro, they now have a losing record at 3-4-1.

San Leandro came up short against Piedmont when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 3-1. Can San Leandro avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
