Basketball Recap: West Seattle Comes Up Short

West Seattle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-50 heartbreaker at the hands of the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors. While losing is never fun, West Seattle can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while Edmonds-Woodway is ranked 13th).

West Seattle's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Edmonds-Woodway, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 17-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Seattle will welcome Roosevelt at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Roosevelt is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53 points per game this season. As for Edmonds-Woodway, they will be playing at home against Shorecrest at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Edmonds-Woodway has won eight straight at home, while Shorecrest won eight straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
