Baseball Recap: Jennings Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Beauregard, Jennings was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Pitkin Tigers 5-4. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Tyler Guidry looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Jennings is 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-16 otherwise.

At the plate, Grayson Whitehead was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. John Mason Futch was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Jennings' win bumped their record up to 13-17. As for Pitkin, their loss dropped their record down to 16-7.

Jennings does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pitkin, they will be playing at home against Vinton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
