Softball Recap: Richland County Tigers vs. Mt. Zion Braves
Richland County couldn't beat Mt. Zion on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Tigers lost 14-4 to the Braves. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Richland County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Bloomer, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Jaylen Gwyn was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Richland County's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Mt. Zion, they have been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season.
Richland County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mt. Zion, they will challenge Glenwood at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans will roll in looking for their 20th straight victory, something the Braves surely won't give up without a fight.
