Softball Recap: Marion Takes a Loss

Marion lost against Peru back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Giants came up short against the Tigers, falling 13-3. The Giants have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jakira Jones made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayonna Davis, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Peru, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Marion didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-5 loss against Norwell on the 23rd. As for Peru, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Lewis Cass on the 23rd.
