Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Gabe Pridemore and Ryder Burgess Lead Russell to Victory

Russell had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Lewis County Lions by a score of 73-65. This was a revenge game for the Red Devils: when they faced off against the Lions back in January, they had to take a 57-52 defeat.

Russell was led to victory by Ryder Burgess and Gabe Pridemore. Burgess went 10-for-16 en route to 23 points and eight rebounds, while Pridemore went 5-for-7 on his way to 19 points. The dominant performance gave Burgess a new career-high in boards. Tyler Cordial was another key player, putting up ten points and eight rebounds.

Russell's win bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Lewis County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-11.

Coming up, Russell will take on Raceland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lewis County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
