Volleyball Recap: Mooresville Has No Trouble Against Plainfield

The Mooresville Pioneers made easy work of the Plainfield Quakers on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pioneers.

While Mooresville won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-21, 27-25.

Ben Coon paced Mooresville's offense, picking up ten kills. Coon got some help from Ty Stonehouse and his 12 assists. Cooper Huntsman controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Mooresville's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-6. As for Plainfield, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Mooresville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Greenwood Christian Academy on the 28th. As for Plainfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Andrean on the 26th.
