Basketball Recap: Windsor Drops Highest Score of Season Against Greeley West

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Windsor). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Greeley West Spartans 90-25. The Wizards have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 25 points or more this season.

Madden Smiley continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a triple-double on 22 points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists. Marcus Martinez was another key player, going 9 of 14 on his way to 22 points.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Windsor was working as a unit and finished the game with 26 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Windsor has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points per game. As for Greeley West, their defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Windsor wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 57-33 victory against Centaurus on the 11th. As for Greeley West, they will challenge Rocky Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greeley West is facing Rocky Mountain at the right time seeing as Rocky Mountain is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
