Lutheran and Whitmore Lake are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2016, but not for long. The Lutheran Warriors will head out to square off against the Whitmore Lake Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Lutheran has struggled recently with seven defeats in a row, while Whitmore Lake will arrive with four straight wins.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jayden Means, who posted eight points. Means is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was John Vermeulen, who had five points.
Meanwhile, Whitmore Lake hadn't done well against Greenhills recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way back in December of 2024. The stars were shining brightly for Whitmore Lake in a 61-46 victory over Greenhills. The matchup marked the Trojans' most dominant win of the season so far.
Lutheran better keep an eye on Landon Livingston. He was instrumental in Whitmore Lake's win, going 6 of 11 on his way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Dillon, who posted 13 points and five rebounds.
Whitmore Lake smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.
Whitmore Lake pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Lutheran has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 28.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Whitmore Lake struggles in that department as they've been averaging 36.1 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
