Baseball Recap: Stratton Has No Trouble Against Springfield

Stratton won the last time they faced Springfield and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Eagles put the hurt on the Longhorns with a sharp 16-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

The team relied heavily on Trevor Moore, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Grady Steerman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Stratton's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Springfield, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Stratton will face off against rival Wiley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Springfield is set to square off against their familiar foe Cheyenne Wells at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
