Basketball Recap: West County Triumphs

While West County didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They slipped by the DeSoto Dragons 52-51 on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

West County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.2 points per game. As for DeSoto, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

West County has already played their next game, a 55-49 loss against Viburnum on the 30th. As for DeSoto, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-18 defeat against North County on the 30th.
