Fox Chapel's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Armstrong River Hawks by a score of 13-8. With that victory, the Foxes brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

Fox Chapel got a great performance from Franco Pistella as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over 4.1 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Everett Clanton was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Blake Krushinski, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Fox Chapel now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Armstrong, their record is now 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fox Chapel will venture away from home to take on Pine-Richland at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Pine-Richland's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so Fox Chapel's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Armstrong, they are taking a road trip to face off against Penn-Trafford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
