Basketball Recap: New Covenant Academy Takes a Loss

New Covenant Academy suffered their closest loss since February 1st on Thursday. They fell just short of the Fair Play Hornets by a score of 42-39. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 44-43.

New Covenant Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Fair Play, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

New Covenant Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Early at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Early will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something New Covenant Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fair Play, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Hurley at 5:30 p.m. on January 14, 2025.
