Basketball Recap: Palmyra Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Conner Petersen and Harrison Boyte

Palmyra was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. The game between them and the Nebraska City Pioneers didn't end well, with the Palmyra Panthers falling 57-40. The Panthers were down 45-25 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Palmyra's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Harrison Boyte, who posted 14 points and six steals, and Conner Petersen, who earned nine points. The dominant performance gave Boyte a new career-high in steals. John Hippen also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Palmyra's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Nebraska City, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-17.
