Basketball Game Preview: Midway Panthers vs. Bryan Vikings

The Midway Panthers and the Bryan Vikings will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Friday, Midway was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 54-50 to Shoemaker. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Bryan waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They breezed by the Bulldawgs to the tune of 72-24. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Bryan is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Midway, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-7.

Midway skirted past Bryan 61-59 in their previous matchup back in January. Does Midway have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bryan turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
