Baseball Recap: Booker Takes a Loss

Booker lost against Gruver on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Kiowas came up short against the Greyhounds, falling 12-5. The Kiowas have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chase Nelson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Booker's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Gruver, the win keeps they at an undefeated 15-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Booker will welcome Shamrock at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Irish have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.07 runs per game on average), something the Kiowas will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Gruver, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lockney at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Greyhounds are on a nine-game streak of home wins, the Longhorns a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
