Lake Ridge and Mansfield Legacy are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Lake Ridge Eagles will be playing at home against the Mansfield Legacy Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lake Ridge comes in on three and Mansfield Legacy on five.
Lake Ridge is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on North Crowley with a sharp 19-1 win on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Lake Ridge got a great performance from Abigail Milligan as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Ryan Roberts was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Julia Harper, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two runs, two doubles, and one triple.
Lake Ridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Crowley only managed two hits.
Meanwhile, Mansfield Legacy's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's fifth consecutive shutout on Monday. They never let Crowley get on the board and left with a 14-0 win. Considering the Broncos have won 11 matches by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Natalie Moreaux was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Hope Gaudio, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double.
Mansfield Legacy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lake Ridge, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Wednesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Lake Ridge has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .498. However, it's not like Mansfield Legacy struggles in that department as they've averaged .472. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
