Baseball Recap: Quincy Find Success

Quincy proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Sterling Golden Warriors 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Blue Devils have posted since April 16th.

Kade Parkhill was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one double. He has become a key player for Quincy: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 7-12 otherwise.

Quincy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-14 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Sterling, their loss dropped their record down to 10-17.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Quincy will face off against Seymour at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Sterling, they will square off against Mendota at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
