Softball Recap: Midlothian Extends Winning Streak to Four

Midlothian came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Corsicana Tigers as they made off with a 16-6 victory. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly ten runs.

Aubrey Robledo was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Adrie Tovar, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Midlothian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .581. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Midlothian's record now sits at 17-7-1. As for Corsicana, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-14-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Midlothian is set to take on their familiar foe Crandall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Corsicana will challenge rival Red Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
