Milan piles up the points against Maysville

Recap: Milan Wildcats vs. Maysville Wolverines

The Milan Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 29 points or more this season. They blew past Maysville 51-22 at home. With Milan ahead 27-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Leading Milan to victory were Violet Gray and Avery Pickering. Gray scored eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Pickering dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds. Pickering set a new season high mark in steals with three. Another player making a difference was Marian Dabney, who scored nine points along with three blocks.

Milan's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Maysville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Milan will stay at home for another game and welcome Atlanta at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. Atlanta will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 315th, while Milan is ranked 119th). As for Maysville, they will head out on the road to face off against East Buchanan at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
