Basketball Recap: Sunset Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Atlas Prep on Saturday, Sunset came back down to earth. The Bison took a 67-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pantego Christian Panthers on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bison in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pantego Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Evan Jackson, who went 7-for-14 to rack up 24 points and five rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Jackson has scored at least a third of the Panthers' points. Aj Brooks was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and ten boards.

Sunset's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Pantego Christian, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Sunset will take on Grace Prep at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Pantego Christian, they will head out to take on Southwest Christian School at 7:30 p.m. on the 9th.
