Longhorns add high IQ receiver from St. John Bosco.

DeAndre Moore, a four-star wide receiver from national champion St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.), has committed to play for the University of Texas in the 2023 season.

Moore was originally committed to play for Louisville alongside high school teammates Pierce Clarkson, Aaron Mikey Williams and Jahlil McClain, but decided to join Steve Sarkisian's heralded recruiting class at Texas instead. The class, which includes Arch Manning, Johntay Cook II, Anthony Hill Jr. and Derek Williams, is currently ranked as the third best in the nation.

Moore is considered to be a talented player, with a high football IQ and strong hands. He has shown his skills on the field, making big plays in important games, including a 52-14 win against Allen to open the season and victories in the CIF Southern Section Division I final over Mater Dei and against Serra (San Mateo) in the CIF Open Division State Championship.

During his senior season for the 13-1 national champions, Moore had 22 receptions for 483 yards and eight touchdowns.

Fans can expect to see plenty of passes from Manning to Moore in the future, as the two will likely form a formidable connection on the field.
