Softball Recap: Davenport Broncos vs. Ridge Community Bolts        
        
		
            
 Davenport can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent  contest  on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Ridge Community Bolts with a sharp  14-3 win. The  victory was just what Davenport needed coming off of  a  15-4 loss in their prior  matchup.
  Makayla Gonzalez made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   two  hits. Gonzalez was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Madison Bergeron was a standout: she scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3.  Lyric Pittman was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 On Ridge Community's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Olivia Leon, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-1.
 Davenport's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Ridge Community, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost four of their last five matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record  this season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Davenport's homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Lakeland Christian at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. Ridge Community will take on Lakeland at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
