Volleyball Game Preview: Tewksbury Memorial Redmen vs. Wachusett Regional Mountaineers

The Tewksbury Memorial Redmen are taking a road trip to take on the Wachusett Regional Mountaineers at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Tewksbury Memorial and North Andover meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Redmen put the hurt on the Scarlet Knights with a sharp 3-0 win. The Redmen not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 21, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

North Middlesex Regional typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Wachusett Regional proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Patriots. The victory continues a trend for the Mountaineers in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won five in a row.

While Wachusett Regional won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-22, 25-16.

Wachusett Regional's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Tewksbury Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11.

Tewksbury Memorial was able to grind out a solid win over Wachusett Regional in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redmen since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
