Softball Recap: Hokes Bluff Drops Highest Score of Season Against Sand Rock

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hokes Bluff). They blew past the Sand Rock Wildcats 16-5 on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shutout in their previous matchup.

The team relied heavily on Addison Simmons, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lacey Grace Hall, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Hokes Bluff kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory got Hokes Bluff back to even at 5-5.

Looking ahead, Hokes Bluff will challenge Piedmont at 5:00 p.m. on March 3rd. As for Sand Rock, they have already played their next contest, a 14-10 loss against West End on the 25th.
