Softball Recap: Rusk Takes a Loss

If Rusk was riding high fresh off their 8-2 takedown of Redwater on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rusk Eagles fell just short of the Ore City Rebels by a score of 5-4 on Friday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rebels apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Rusk's loss dropped their record down to 7-5-1. As for Ore City, their victory bumped their record up to 2-6-1.

Coming up, Rusk will challenge Carthage at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ore City, they will be taking part in a tournament against Hawkins at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday.
