Recap: Duchesne Eagles vs. Rowland Hall Winged Lions
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Summit, the Duchesne Eagles were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Rowland Hall 58-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Luc Dowdle and Noah Bikhazi certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Dowdle scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds, while Bikhazi scored 15 points. Dowdle scored a full 29.1% of Rowland Hall's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of William Chin, who scored 4 points along with 10 rebounds and 5 blocks.
The win got Duchesne back to even at 1-1. As for Rowland Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Duchesne will take on Kanab at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. As for Rowland Hall, they will head out on the road to face off against Wendover at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
