Baseball Game Preview: Boardman Spartans vs. Austintown-Fitch Falcons

For the second straight game, Boardman will face off against Austintown-Fitch. The Spartans will be playing at home against the Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Boardman has three straight wins, Austintown-Fitch has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Boardman is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Austintown-Fitch 13-5 on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Spartans with their most commanding win of the season.

The team relied heavily on Ivan Rudiak, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Grayson Eicher was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.
