Basketball Recap: Encina Comes Up Short

Encina was the 55-33 winner over Sacramento Waldorf when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Encina Bulldogs had to suffer through a 51-13 loss at the hands of the Sacramento Waldorf Waves. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-8.

Encina's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Sacramento Waldorf, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Encina will take on Forest Lake Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Encina is facing Forest Lake Christian at the right time seeing as Forest Lake Christian is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Sacramento Waldorf, they will face off against Victory Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sacramento Waldorf is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
