Lemon Bay is 10-0 against DeSoto County since January of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Lemon Bay Manta Rays will challenge the DeSoto County Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Lemon Bay is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.9 goals per game this season.

Lemon Bay is coming into the contest fresh off a high-scoring shootout with Key West that saw the pair combine for 16 shots on goal. Lemon Bay walked away with a 4-2 win over Key West on Saturday. Given the Manta Rays' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Conchs are ranked 268th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lemon Bay hit Key West with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sofia Ferjiani, Madison Tieu, Daria Lukash, and Mariia Lukash.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but DeSoto County had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They never let the Gators onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their ten-game losing streak.

Lemon Bay is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those five games. As for DeSoto County, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.

Everything went Lemon Bay's way against DeSoto County when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as Lemon Bay made off with an 8-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lemon Bay since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
