Softball Game Preview: Sierra Canyon Trailblazers vs. Louisville Royals

The Sierra Canyon Trailblazers will face off against the Louisville Royals at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Sierra Canyon came up short against Simi Valley and fell 11-7.

Meanwhile, Louisville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harvard-Westlake.

Leah Olmo led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrea Jones, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Louisville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Sierra Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Sierra Canyon took their victory against Louisville in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-2 score. Do the Trailblazers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Royals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
