Piedra Vista won the last time they faced Cibola, and Tyra Holyan did her part to make sure it happened again. The Piedra Vista Panthers snuck past the Cibola Cougars with a 57-53 victory on Tuesday thanks to Holyan, who went 9-for-14 en route to 23 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Her evening made it nine games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points.

Jaime Pierce was another key player, putting up 16 points. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Piedra Vista's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Cibola, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Looking ahead, Piedra Vista will be playing in front of their home fans against Cleveland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cleveland is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.2 points per game this season. As for Cibola, they will head out on the road to challenge Rio Rancho at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cibola has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
