Baseball Recap: Oakland Takes a Loss

Oakland lost against Umpqua Valley Christian on April 4th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Oakers lost 19-1 to the Monarchs. The Oakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Oakland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jachai Myers, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.

Oakland's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Umpqua Valley Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Oakland will challenge Camas Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Umpqua Valley Christian, they will square off against North Douglas at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Umpqua Valley Christian is facing North Douglas at the right time seeing as North Douglas is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
