 Pickerington Central had to endure  a  six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by  a  14-4 margin over the Groveport-Madison Cruisers on Monday. With that  win, Pickerington Central brought their scoring average up to 6.1  runs per game.
  Izzy Herbst made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out nine batters over  seven innings while giving up  four earned runs off   nine  hits. Herbst was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-5.
 In other batting news, Pickerington Central got a  massive  performance out of  McKenna Nixt, who  got on base  in four of her five plate appearances with a  home run and four  runs.  Sophia Kounouzvelis was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 4-for-5.
 Pickerington Central's victory  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 4-11. As for Groveport-Madison, they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-9.
 Pickerington Central will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against Lancaster at 5:15  p.m. As for Groveport-Madison, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Newark at 5:15  p.m.  on Wednesday.
