Softball Recap: Silverton's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

Silverton came into Wednesday's game having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Central Panthers by a score of 11-8 on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-2 back in April.

Easton Rains spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and six unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Maddalynn Ehrens was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Jersee Sutton, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Silverton's victory bumped their record up to 16-13. As for Central, they dropped their record down to 10-15 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

As of now, neither Silverton nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
