Soccer Game Preview: Clinton vs. Bunn

Clinton is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Bunn is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Dark Horses will welcome the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clinton knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Bunn likes a good challenge.

Last Thursday, Clinton got the win against Jack Britt by a conclusive 5-1. Considering Clinton have won 18 contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Jack Britt with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Holden Spell (2), Emilson Marcia (2), and James Sinclair.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bunn walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Red Devils a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday. Bunn's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four matchups.

Clinton's win bumped their record up to 22-2. As for Bunn, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Everything went Clinton's way against Bunn in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, as Clinton made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Dark Horses have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
