Basketball Recap: West Melbourne Christian Academy Comes Up Short

West Melbourne Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a hard 73-54 fall against the Heritage Christian School Eagles. West Melbourne Christian Academy was down 60-37 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Heritage Christian School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but John Herrera led the charge by going 7 of 8 on his way to 14 points and six boards. Those 14 points gave Herrera a new career-high. Elijah Reid was another key player, putting up 13 points.

West Melbourne Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Heritage Christian School, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3.

As of now, neither West Melbourne Christian Academy nor Heritage Christian School have any future games scheduled.
