Recap: NCSSM: Morganton vs. Cherryville Ironmen
NCSSM: Morganton's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 66-12 loss at the hands of Cherryville.
Among those leading the charge was Krista Davis, who scored 19 points along with 7 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Cherryville's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Raylei Gidney, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 14 rebounds.
NCSSM: Morganton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Cherryville, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. NCSSM: Morganton is on the road again on Thursday and play against Patton at 6:00 p.m. on November 30th. Patton comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 16 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Cherryville, they will head out on the road to face off against West Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
