Meanwhile, Chaparral came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Wolves with a sharp 3-0 win.

Chaparral never let Desert Mountain on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-19, 25-22.

Mountain Pointe's defeat dropped their record down to 6-20. As for Chaparral, their victory bumped their record up to 26-4.
