Baseball Recap: Kermit Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

While Kermit's victory against Presidio wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Yellow Jackets had just enough and edged out the Blue Devils 3-1. The win was nothing new for the Yellow Jackets as they're now sitting on three straight.

Ian Bejarano and Zeke Carrasco made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Bejarano pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Carrasco struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Bejarano also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Kermit is undefeated when he allows at most three earned runs, but 3-12 otherwise. At the plate, Bejarano went 2-for-3 with one run and one double, while Carrasco went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Armando Urias, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. He is becoming a predictor of Kermit's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 4-11 when he doesn't).

Kermit's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Presidio, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-10.
