Baseball Recap: University School Snags 11th Victory in Last 12 Games

University School won the last time they faced North and things went their way on Saturday too. The Preppers walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Rangers.

Crew Bellan tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April.

At the plate, Aaron Moss was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Tucker Greer, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

University School is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for North, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: University School beat the Rangers by a score of 10-0 later that day.
