Basketball Recap: Zechariah Miller's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lincoln County over Scott

Lincoln County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost to the Scott Skyhawks at home by a 60-46 margin. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Skyhawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Lincoln County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Zechariah Miller, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Bird, who posted eight points.

Lincoln County's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Scott, they moved to 1-1 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln County and Chesapeake will compete for holiday cheer at 9:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Scott, they will venture away from home to take on Buffalo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Scott is facing Buffalo at the right time seeing as Buffalo is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
