Recap: San Francisco Waldorf Wolverines vs. Mills Vikings
The San Francisco Waldorf Wolverines's game on Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They secured a 59-53 W over Mills. Winning is a bit easier when your three-point shooting is a whole 29% better than the opposition, as San Francisco Waldorf's was.
It was another big night for Miles MacDonald, who scored 30 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of San Francisco Waldorf's points. Another player making a difference was Ben Sarig, who scored 7 points.
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jefriel Bacorro, who scored 20 points along with 3 steals. Bacorro is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaeden Vazquez, who scored 15 points.
San Francisco Waldorf is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Mills, the last time they won on the road was back last Tuesday. Having now lost three straight away matches, they've bumped their record down to 1-3.
San Francisco Waldorf will take on Rise University Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mills, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wallenberg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
