Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Furtah Prep's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Etowah, Furtah Prep was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They took down Cristo Rey Atlanta 91-73. The Falcons pushed the score to 68-45 by the end of the third, a deficit Cristo Rey Atlanta cut but never quite recovered from.

Furtah Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.4 points per game. As for Cristo Rey Atlanta, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-6.

Furtah Prep and South Forsyth will face off at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. South Forsyth knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Furtah Prep likes a good challenge. As for Cristo Rey Atlanta, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against M.L. King at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. M.L. King is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.8 points per game this season.
